Full Moon in Libra - March 21, 2008

Full Moon in Libra
1ยบ 31’ Libra
Friday, March 21, 8:40pm CET

Libra, the sign that seeks partnership, balance and mutuality, is hosting the Full Moon opposite the Sun in dependent, uncooperative Aries on Friday March 21. How do you successfully blend the need for compromise in relationship with the burning urge for freedom and independence? It takes a lot of work!!!

For the next few days, even those Aries who manage to come across as pleasant Venusian Libras will find it challenging to sit still while the heat is turned up inside. Relational interactions will be challenging. Spring fever could bring out some definite urges to push for something physical or sexual on a personal level…..and things could get quite aggressive at work or in social settings. I know an Aquarius man planning to attend a party for three Aries women next week. He is walking into a fiery lionesses den. LOL. One of the Aries women has already been trying for two months to pique his interest and fire up his loins through soft romantic Libran moves (staring into his eyes with a smile while he talks and hanging on each word, leaning every so lightly on the side of him he talks, talking to no one else when he is in the room, giggling at all his comments); it will be interesting to see her throw off the Libran shell and make an aggressive Arian move on him under the compelling energy of her natal Sun in Aries! Of course it is always interesting to watch women try to compel airy detached, and many times naively oblivious Aquarius men into a relationship.

This annual Libra Full Moon provides and opportunity to soften the energies of the self-focused Aries Sun, but there will be pushes from elsewhere to continue on the independent path – whether that is positive or negative for you. This cardinal Grand Square will provoke us all to resolve our relational problems no matter what it takes. The most successful way to handle a Grand Square is to realize that ALL the energies (in this case that of the Sun, Moon, Mars and Pluto) have something to teach us about the issues in our lives.

Under this lunation, Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Cancer are square to the Libra Sun/Aries Moon opposition, creating the cardinal Grand Square. The slightest disagreement could turn into a serious conflict. Try to stay above the fray by looking for the best in yourself, the best in ach person and what is best for the situation. Listen to the other person and have some compassion. As yourself if an extreme has been at work in your relationship with someone(s): Are your emotional needs being met to a large degree because you are ignoring the needs of others? Conversely, are your needs being ignored because you are too willing to push them aside to please another? Either scenario is not healthy. Come back into balance. As it is a Full Moon, balancing could mean the end of the relationship or a sweet conclusion to a negative style of relating and a new beginning on the horizon between you and the other person(s).

Some ways to approach this lunation are to embrace differences with love and compassion but without being overly attached to your own opinions; to remember that truth can be relative and be open to seeing the other side; to initiate compromise and be willing to go along with such; to use negotiation as the first and last response to conflict; to remember that if you denigrate, ignore, refuse to speak with, cause pain to, and knock down others you also annihilate yourself and become a harder person; to remember violence is not a viable solution for peace and understanding; and most of all to treat others with respect.

Examine your own heart – are you JEALOUS of the accomplishments of someone else so you have been spending energy and time to try to denigrate and exclude that person? Not only will it come back to you at some surprising and painful point, it is making you less human.

Under this Full Moon in Libra let us find a balance between the self and the group, for both are important to the smooth workings of the world.

Violence and Mayhem

With the Mars/Pluto opposition that I wrote of earlier coming to tight (within one degree) square of the USA's Midheaven and IC in its birthchart (Sibley) on Friday March 14. This tight square amps up hte energy of both planets. It translates into military action, violence, bombing, fights on the playground and at the supermarket nad people being out of control with fierce anger.

If you are an Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn or have a Moon or Mars in those signs, step back, lay low from now through the weekend. You could literally be a violence magnet.
We will also begin hearing more news about crimes, terrorist acts and bloodshed in the USA or among its allies.

Mars is an energy we are to use to do pioneering acts. Pluto is an energy we are to use to unearth that which needs to be transformed. Perhaps we can all spend tme thinking aout what things we push deep down inside that we need to unearth, confess (at least to ourselves) and take the initiative to make a change. Let's stop attracting the bad and start atttracting the good by refusing to allow things to hide within us and subconsciously sabotage us!

Venus in Pisces - March 12, 2008

Venus in Pisces

Wednesday, March 12, 3:51 pm PDT, 6:51 pm EDT;
Thursday, March 13, 12:51am CET

Venus is exalted in this sign of spirituality, consciousness, transcendence and intuition. Here is an opportunity for emotions, especially those which can increase intimacy, to flow. With Mars and Pluto promoting extreme violence and anger by Friday, now is the time to let gentleness and generosity take precedence. Romance can thrive under these conditions as negatively critical feelings of low self-esteem, insecurity and doubt are washed away.

New Moon in Pisces 2008

Are you ready to be free, to throw away tradition, to have your creativity rise to the top like delicious, thick cream on a perfect cup of hot chocolate, and to have your wildest dream begin to manifest? That is what you could see happen under today’s aspects!
New Moon in Pisces

Friday, March 7, 2008, 17°31′ Pisces 6:15 pm CET

At 5:20 pm CET, we will experience the aspect of Moon in Pisces opposite Saturn in Virgo. This aspect will illuminate and charge us in a gentle and compassionate manner, encouraging us to be just that – compassionate, gentle and sensitive with each other in guiding each other to be our best and to make changes that benefit our well-being. Just under an hour later we will experience a consciousness-awakening New Moon in Pisces. This is an opportunity to open your heart, spirit and mind so you can nurture your dreams. The worst thing you could do now is to suppress your creativity and imagination, as that will destroy your dreams. It is a time of fertility in spirituality; however quiet an aspect that may be for you. Compassion will be in large supply and creativity will flower. If you have been frozen this winter in your emotions, now is the time you can risk opening yourself to receive what your soul needs to grow. This is not to say that it will all be a “bed of roses” because eccentric, shocking Uranus is close to this lunation and brings sudden jolts and changes. The changes that occur may feel unpredictable, out of control and chaotic – but many will find this can used to do something alternative, something different from the routine. Emotional and other habits will be shaken and shattered under this New Moon. Beneficent and constructive Jupiter in Capricorn's supportive sextile to unpredictable Uranus in Pisces imbues us with an urge to create a sensible agenda for today (and the next two days) that incorporates the chaos, the desire for creativity and produces a new and exciting launch for your Spring activities.

Do your wishing, dreaming and rituals, but do not do any decision-making until after the Moon enters Aries on Sunday afternoon (3:23 pm CET). Why? Because the Moon will be VOC (void-of-course). You always have three (3) days when there is a New Moon, or decision-making (sending out important emails, starting Advertising/public relations campaigns, filing legal papers etc). Once the Moon transits into Aries we become motivated to initiate the news activities we imagined, reflected upon and dreamt of during yesterday’s inspirational New Moon in Pisces.

Moon in Pisces opposite Saturn in Virgo
The Moon/Saturn aspect makes emotion expression rather tense but practical; be careful about thinking too much, getting depresses and then following that with alcohol or a pill to avoid the pain of the thoughts or feelings. Examine yourself and your feelings and then release it.

March 6, 2008, 8:04 pm CET
Sun in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Capricorn
Moon in Pisces conjunct Uranus in Pisces; then Moon void-of-course

The Sun/Jupiter aspect brings opportunities for dreaming of our goals and manifesting them as we expand our horizons through determination and rock-steady perseverance of the things we need to reach our goals. The Moon/Uranus aspect urges us to use our intuition, which for many of us is a new way of knowing and exploring our feelings and thoughts.

The Moon is VOC until Saturday, March 8, 200 3:23 pm CET

Mars opposite Pluto 2008

Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn
Friday, March 7, 2008, 10:01 am CET

Since February 29 you have likely felt frustrated, suppressed and quite irritable about the fact that there was little you could do to change the feeling or the circumstances causing those feelings. Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto in Cancer was set in motion on September 21 and now is making its third and final hit. This is truly a martial aspect, bringing threat of violence, talk of war, building up of defenses, fierceness, and bringing out of the darker sides of ourselves. This is an edgy confrontation between aggressive warrior Mars in self-protective Cancer and power-hungry Pluto in determined Capricorn. There will be fights on the playground. Do not be surprised if you encounter people who want to oppose you at work, school or at the market. Do not be surprised if YOU want to confront certain people or situations and clear out the confusion. Try to be goal-oriented without being insensitive to other people. This final aspect of Mars to Pluto, however, is an opportunity to finally clear the air about things that began in late September. With a New Moon in Pisces occurring the same day, it translates into an opportunity to eliminate those relationships, people and negative situations that have caused restriction, and lay a new foundation for launching your initiatives.

Venus conjunct Neptune in Aquarius 2008

Venus in Aquarius conjunct Neptune in Aquarius

Friday March 7, 1:02 am CET

We have been dealing with the cool, detached emotions and fears of Venus in Aquarius for almost a month. People have been putting up emotional walls, denying their true feelings and running from intimate relationships. Relationships have been breaking up, especially spurred on by the Full Moon lunar eclipse of February 21.This is the Uranian aspect of Aquarius. The breakdown, breakups and escapes from love have been prefaced by cool, controlled, and sometimes sharply critical rationality (to mask fear). At the same time we have all had the celestial support to stand back, detach, gather facts and information and reflect upon WHY we may want to get involved in a relationship with someone or WHAT we like about the relationship in which we are currently involved. This is the Saturnian aspect of Aquarius.

Now, as Venus is on its way out of the constellation of Aquarius, it encounters Neptune in Aquarius. Neptune in Aquarius can encourage compassion, spirituality, creativity and idealism. It can also promote deceit, lying, withholding of self and information. Brought together today, Venus and Neptune is a soft energy that dissolve the unnecessary walls and encourage people to work together to fulfill their common and separate dreams out of love for one another – being it a platonic love for another human being or a sexual/romantic love for a special someone.

How are YOU experiencing this aspect today? Please feel free to share!
