Full Moon in Leo 2007

The look, the feel, the grandeur of love is permeating the air on February 1, 2007 at 9:45pm PST/February 2, 2007 at 6:45am CET. We have a Full Moon in Leo and with all the powerful aspects around it we will see open doors of love, creativity, and connection with self and others unlike any other time this year.

It is, for those in the Northern Hemisphere, the middle of cold winter, bleak midwinter, in fact. But that cannot stop the brilliance of sunny Leo from shining through and shining light. Occurring at 13 Leo this Full Moon comes two weeks after many of us have been working on our personal goals. Now is the time to release them into manifestation. What you have been planning is ready to be put into action while the Sun is in complementary Aquarius.

With this Full Moon is a yod (finger of God in a Y shape) that combines the Full Moon in Leo, (personal power and magnetism, leadership, romantic love, creativity, grand vision, and the willingness to take chances) with Uranus in Pisces (uniqueness and unusual methods around the spiritual, art music, film, fantasy and imagination) and Mars in Capricorn (steady, hardworking achievements in the areas you want to take charge in, especially sexuality and entrepreneurship/leadership.

We are still living under the influence of retrograde Saturn in Leo but that energy is being counteracted by Mercury and Neptune in Aquarius. That energetic charge will help keep your mind clear – but be careful of taking any drugs or other substances. Whether prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) a drug is not so good at this time. Alcohol or other tings that you know have strong influence over you are to be avoided now. states of mind. Chiron is also transiting Aquarius and you would not want to be forced to learn a lesson about getting healed or being healing via an experience of fog or pain if you can avoid it.

Use this Full Moon in Leo to celebrate yourself and those you love in a romantic way. Make love, make music, make art, make whatever you want. Merge your minds and souls and let the sound be dramatically glorious. Jupiter is in Sagittarius and so there is the danger of going overboard and falling into vanity. Yet do not give up the beauty of this Full Moon. Surrender to the heat. Merge and melt…go for the gusto complete with wine, candles, flowers and music. The Full Moon is most effective for three days so until Sunday night (PST)/Monday morning (CET) you have total support from the Universe to heed the callings of singer Jose Feliciano and light someone’s fire – or let them light yours!!!

If there is no romantic relationship in your life, if there is no making love, perhaps you can make art. Draw on your creative energy. You may find that happens quite easily, as you begin writing, drawing, painting on the canvas, sculpting, spinning your potters wheel, firing up your kiln, running your hands over the ivory keys or the piano, or strumming your fingers over the guitar strings. If you prefer something more social, invite a bunch of friends to go out and have some fun seeing and being seen. Leo loves to be the center of attention, so get out there and shine! It's a great night to support the arts; so go see a play or hear some music. If you are up on that stage, be prepared for a very dramatic and inspiring performance. All this Aquarius and Pisces energy would be great for bringing together fun and support of a good cause.

As I pointed out earlier, this Full Moon in Leo is opposite Sun, Mercury, Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. But there is no need to fear. This is a Full Moon that gives you every reason to totally believe in yourself, to commit to yourself and what you know you can do…to call forth your leadership skills and personal vision to influence and empower your local or global community in some way. Use this power judiciously and you will lifted up by the community as a great and noble leader. Use it selfishly and you will known publicly as greedy, egotistic, cowardly and unworthy of leadership. Believe in your own marketing!! You can be a powerful presence, you can reinvent yourself, you can have the glory of love, the glory of success, the glory of it all.

New Moon in Capricorn 2007

Stamina. Drive. Focus. Have you got these things? Do you want these things?

Capricorn has them. Capricorn the sure-footed SeaGoat is the master of them.

This is the energy that will bring you sure solid success, and now is the time to take advantage of this energy, with the New Moon at 28 Capricorn on Thursday, January 18th at 8:01 pm PST (Friday, January 19th at 5:01am CET in Europe). This is the first New Moon of the year, and the best New Moon for launching or follow through on your New Year’s resolutions. Initiating projects, setting goals and making commitments are greatly supported by the Universe at this time. In fact, I highly recommend not making resolutions on New Year’s Day, but rather wait until the New Moon in Capricorn each year to start your new goals.

We hear the phrase “overnight success” a lot, but is there really such a thing? For most people there is not. If you look closer, for most the “overnight success” is in reality the result of believing in yourself, putting that belief behind a goal and following that solitary and lonely path no matter what others day or do. Taking the road less chosen is the choice of many successful entrepreneurs. Believing they can make a living doing what they love, they spend countless hours, day after day, working towards their dream. They know the instant gratification of money from a job working for someone else will in the long run be dissatisfying and empty.

Capricorn is a sign of cardinal (“I want to lead”) energy and focused on taking action, in a way that does not draw attention to itself. It is willing to toil hard. When the Sun is in Capricorn and under a New Moon in Capricorn it is a great time to launch new business projects, accomplish goals and focus on making money. If you have some knowledge of astrology, look in your chart to learn which house Capricorn rules, as this is where you will experience the new opportunities and renewal that this New Moon in Capricorn brings. This is where you will experience a lot of these new opportunities. No matter where it falls, however, it is nonetheless a time of renewal and new beginnings.

Have you ever noticed Capricorns? They may not be the shining star getting all the kudos in the office. They may not be the center of attention at a party. They may be working overtime and seem a bit on the serious or depressed side. However they get the job done, stick to their projects and eventually, they receive their reward. Capricorns tend to be overlooked when they are younger, and everyone speeds past them getting the promotions and applause. But in their later years, usually around their mid-40s, Capricorns are suddenly (yet not so suddenly) at the front of the race. They get the promotion to president, vice-president, chairperson, etc or the BIG raise…or other such things. Many with Chiron in Capricorn recently saw as they approached 29-51 years old that they finally got the recognition they worked for all these years. Condoleeza Rice is an example. Her Chiron Return in Capricorn saw her installed as the first woman Secretary of State for the United States of America after many years of hard work in academic and government positions behind the scenes. Along the way she sacrificed love/relationships and family but she did gain a prestigious position that, from all appearances, is deeply satisfying to her. Capricorn does not whine and cry about what was or what might have been. It gets real, accepts what is and make do with it.

There are other celestial supports aligned with the New Moon in Capricorn this year. Saturn and Mars in Capricorn, and an Aquarius line-up (Mercury, Venus, Neptune and Chiron) are kicking in their favors.

Saturn rules Capricorn. This planet, also know archetypically as The Teacher, The Taskmaster, The Parent and The Father, expects hard work, deliberation, dedication and right choices. This New Moon aspects Saturn as it transits Leo. The ego has been under fire for over a year now and this New Moon highlights the fact that ego has no place in progress. Any attempts to be egotistic, to be in the spotlight or to promote yourself are going to fall flat under this energy (for many with personal Leo placements, it has already been happening quite consistently). But there is no need to sit back and do nothing just because you cannot do something in a way that you get the spotlight. Mars in Capricorn is calling for action to support your intentions. You will find you have more strength and stamina than usual to accomplish your goals.

Aquarius is a visionary sign with eccentric, rebellious and humanitarian Uranian energy. So how does all this Uranian energy manifest with this New Moon in Capricorn? It means that the focus of goals, projects and dreams initiated now can and for many will be for the benefit of the community as well as the individual. It means they will involve a humanitarian love, be communicated through the use of modern technology, involve a collective spiritual sense and have a connection to healing the wounds in our society and perhaps also our individual souls.
However neither the community nor you will experience this as a flaky “New Age” movement. Under a practical and rational Capricorn Moon it will be a collective expression of the spirit of humanity, built on solid ground (Capricorn is an Earth sign!) and backed by principles.

Speaking of community, why not make Friday, January 19 a time for a brainstorming session, family meeting or a business lunch with a prospective partner for an entrepreneurial venture? Under this New Moon you can produce some exciting, realistic, and visionary new growth ideas. Outline the goals and then delineate all the steps necessary to achieve them. Have everyone commit to the plan, commit to seeing it through to its finish. Under this New Moon in Capricorn everyone has a place in the new order and everyone can be individually successful, leading to the groups overall triumph. Write down what actions you must take, in what order, to make the team's goals a reality. Then commit to following these steps no matter how long it takes; no matter how hard it may be. With this New Moon in Capricorn, you will find all you need to cross the finish line.
